The 63 seats that BNP left vacant

Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Assembly elections, BNP has initially announced a list of candidates for 237 of the 300 parliamentary seats. Candidates for the remaining 63 seats have not yet been finalized.

Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the names of the candidates at a press conference at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Monday (November 3) afternoon.

The BNP Secretary General said, “This is a preliminary list. Any amendments can be made as deemed necessary by our standing committee.”

The unconcluded seats are:
Thakurgaon-2, Dinajpur-5, Nilphamari-1 and 3, Lalmonirhat-2, Bogra-2, Naogaon-5, Natore-3, Sirajganj-1, Pabna-1, Jhenaidah-1, 2 and 4, Jessore-5, Narail-2, Bagerhat-1, 2 and 3, Khulna-1, Patuakhali-2 and 3, Barisal-3, Jhalokati-1, Pirojpur-1, Tangail-5, Mymensingh-4 and 10, Kishoreganj-1 and 5, Manikganj-1, Munshiganj-3, Dhaka-7, 9, 10, 13, 17, 18 and 20, Gazipur-1 and 6, Narsingdi-3, Narayanganj-4, Rajbari-2, Faridpur-1, Madaripur-2, Sunamganj-2 and 4, Sylhet-4 and 5, Habiganj-1, Brahmanbaria-2 and 6, Comilla-2 and 7, Lakshmipur-1 and 4, Chittagong-3, 6, 9, 11, 14 and 15 and Cox’s Bazar-2.
