The low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a depression

The low pressure area over the southeastern Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas has intensified into a distinct low pressure area and then a depression in the same area at 6 am today, the Meteorological Department said. It is expected to move further west-northwestwards and intensify into a cyclone, it has been predicted.

This information was given in the forecast given by Meteorological Department meteorologist Kho. Hafizur Rahman on Saturday (October 25).

The Meteorological Office said that rain/thunderstorm is likely to occur at one or two places in Chittagong division by 9 am tomorrow (Sunday). Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Along with this, day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

Rain/thunderstorm is likely to occur at one or two places in Chittagong division in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Sunday (October 26). Apart from this, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Along with this, day and night temperatures are likely to remain almost unchanged across the country.

Rain/thunderstorm is likely to occur at one or two places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions from 9 am on Monday (October 27). Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Along with this, the day temperature may decrease slightly in the southern part of the country and the temperature may remain almost unchanged elsewhere in the country. The night temperature may decrease slightly across the country.

Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm is likely to occur at many places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions and at some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions from 9 am on Tuesday (October 28) in the next 24 hours. Along with this, moderate to heavy rain is likely to occur at some places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. In addition, day and night temperatures may decrease by 1-3 degrees Celsius across the country.

Light to moderate rain/thunderstorm is likely to occur in most places of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and many places of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Wednesday (October 29). Moderate to heavy rain is likely to occur at some places across the country and day and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

The agency also said that the rainfall trend may decrease towards the end of the next five days.
