The National Citizens Party (NCP) has formed a ‘Central Election Steering Committee’ to participate in the upcoming 2026 parliamentary elections. In this, the party’s chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari has been appointed as the head of the committee and Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr. Tasneem Zara has been appointed as the secretary.

The committee was announced through a notification signed by NCP convener Md. Nahid Islam and member secretary Akhtar Hossain on Tuesday (November 4) morning.

Other members of the committee are Ariful Islam Adeeb, Mahbub Alam Mahir, Khaled Saifullah, Ehtesham Haque, Advocate Abdullah Al Amin, Alauddin Mohammad, Advocate Zahirul Islam Munna, Advocate Humaira Noor, Saifullah Haider and Advocate Md. Tariqul Islam.

The announcement said that the election management committee will be responsible for overseeing the party’s overall preparation and planning, candidate selection, field-level coordination, legal and administrative activities, media and publicity activities.
