
A case has been filed against Daffodil University students for allegedly attacking, vandalizing and setting fire to City University in Savar. On the other hand, Daffodil International University has filed a counter-case against City University students for allegedly taking students hostage, forcing them to confess and beating them.
Savar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Asaduzzaman confirmed the case. He said, “Both parties have filed complaints with the police station. We have recorded it as a case. Now we are going through legal process. Action will be taken against those involved after investigation.”
Earlier, on Sunday evening, a clash broke out between students of two universities over a trivial matter. The area turned into a battlefield in the nearly 7-hour clash. More than a hundred students were injured. The City University campus was attacked, vandalized, and set on fire. Several vehicles were burned.
