Earthquake: Drilling in gas wells suspended for 48 hours in Sylhet-Chittagong-Narsingdi

As part of the precautionary measures in the wake of the earthquake, drilling activities in all gas wells in Sylhet, Chittagong and Narsingdi areas have been ordered to be suspended for 48 hours. This was announced in a directive sent by the Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources Corporation (Petrobangla) today (Sunday, November 23).

At the same time, it has been recommended to completely ban all types of drilling work in Narsingdi district for 48 to 72 hours.
