Writ petition filed in High Court seeking suspension of the effectivity of the ‘July National Charter’

A writ petition has been filed in the High Court seeking to suspend the validity of the July National Charter. It seeks to quash the July National Charter, stating that it conflicts with the Constitution and the RPO.

Supreme Court lawyer Yunus Ali Akand filed the writ petition with the relevant branch of the High Court on Wednesday. The petition will be heard by a relevant bench of the High Court next week, said Advocate Yunus Ali Akand.
