US President Donald Trump has said the United States will be “strongly involved” in Venezuela’s oil industry in the future, with hawkish anti-US President Nicolas Maduro no longer in power.
“Our oil companies are the best, the biggest, of the oil companies in the world. And we will be heavily involved in Venezuelan oil,” he told Fox News.
It would be a big deal if US companies could get involved in Venezuela’s oil sector. But it would take years to build the infrastructure to extract the oil and export it.
Currently, Venezuela has the most oil in the world. The oil fields that have been found there have not been found anywhere else yet. Although Saudi Arabia is considered an oil field, Venezuela is ahead of them in this regard.
Meanwhile, in a post on the micro-blogging site X, US Vice President JD Vance said, “The stolen oil must be returned.” However, he did not specify what oil and who stole it.
