There are groups and pages with different names on Facebook. Each group has thousands of members. Some groups have 50,000 to over a lakh members. These groups display thousands of objectionable pictures and videos of young women. There are videos of young women of various classes and professions, from school students to college and university students. Links to Telegram channels are provided from Facebook. Clicking on the link brings up local nude and pornographic videos. However, a trap is laid with partial videos. Interest is increased. To watch the full video, you have to pay money. Only if you pay in advance, the full video link is provided. Young men and women, young women and people of different ages and professions, including young men and women, are buying these videos with money and enjoying naked joy. And the end is coming for those young women and girls whose love traps have been taken away by some fraudulent lovers and pornographic pictures and nude videos. Apart from this, they have also collected personal pictures and videos by hacking various social media IDs. 

Sources say that initially, various objectionable screenshots were posted on Facebook pages and groups under the name of Expose. There is a Telegram group as a link. If you enter there, you can find objectionable pictures and partial videos of boys and girls. You have to pay money to get the full video. You have to buy premium. You have to pay up to a thousand taka per month to join these premium groups. In many groups, premium can be bought for the whole year. Money is transacted through cash and bKash. Sometimes, a person’s pictures and videos are sold for 400-500 taka. Group admins make transactions by hiding their identities.

Several groups have been found by searching Facebook and Telegram. Notable among them is ‘Expose Viral Video’. The group has about 20,000 members. Another page named ‘Desi Viral Video’ has 10,000 members. ‘Expose Original’ group has 10,000 members, ‘Brain’s Official Demo’ has 38,000 members. Apart from this, there are numerous groups with different names. Sources say that the admins of these groups use pseudonyms. The location of the admin named Marco is West Bengal, Kolkata. An attempt was made to talk to some admins by hiding their identities. They refused to talk about personal matters. When their identities were given, they blocked them from Telegram.

Law enforcement sources say that these clever gangs have been doing this business for a long time, hiding behind their backs. Their groups have thousands to millions of members. They make videos with thousands of young women. Many women and children also have video images. Several gangs have been arrested and brought under the law for these illegal activities in the past. When they were interrogated, it was learned that some fraudsters basically collect pictures and videos by trapping women in love through various tricks. Once they get out of a relationship, they collect those videos and images without the women’s knowledge and sell them to these gangs. In return, they also take money. They themselves do not know how many women are being ruined without their knowledge. Again, some hackers are selling personal pictures and videos from inboxes by hacking IDs. At different times, various women have complained that pornography content has been created using their pictures and videos. The truth of their allegations has also been found. Later, many members of the fraudster gang, including the group admin, were arrested in a raid. 

Cyber ​​​​sources say that some groups have taken up dangerous pornography. On the one hand, as they are extorting money, they are also putting the lives of many women at risk. According to the Bangladesh Pornography Control Act 2012, despite the fact that the production and distribution of pornography is a criminal offense, these businesses are being carried out without the eyes of law enforcement agencies. They are not being punished the way the business is being carried out. Because they do all this using false information. The media they are using for money lending, bKash or other channels, are also opened with false information. So they are always out of reach. Just as they are pushing a generation into a dark world by doing these misdeeds, those who are using the pictures and videos of women are also in various states of fear. 

Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabder, Deputy Police Commissioner of the Cyber ​​and Special Crime Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police, told Manabzamin, “We receive numerous such complaints. We work on these. We take each complaint seriously. The success of the work is also 100 percent. We have a strict stance on pornography.”
