BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed his gratitude to Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus for his courtesy towards BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

On Friday (November 28), Tarique Rahman thanked the chief advisor of the interim government in a post on his verified Facebook.

The acting chairman of BNP wrote on Facebook, ‘BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is currently undergoing treatment in critical condition at Evercare Hospital in the capital. In a statement on Friday (November 28), Bangladesh Government’s Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus expressed deep concern over Begum Khaleda Zia’s illness and sought prayers from the countrymen for her speedy recovery.’

Tarique Rahman wrote, ‘Principal Advisor Dr. Yunus is regularly monitoring the health progress of the three-time former Prime Minister and has instructed all concerned to be ready at all times to provide all necessary support and coordination for her proper treatment. In the statement, the Principal Advisor also said, Begum Khaleda Zia is a great inspiration for the nation at this time of democratic transition, her good health is very important for the country.’

The acting chairman of BNP thanked the chief advisor for his courtesy, saying, “I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the chief advisor for the courtesy and humane sentiments expressed in Dr. Muhammad Yunus’ statement regarding the leader who is undergoing treatment in the hospital.”
