BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has gone to meet Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at his residence in the capital’s Bashundhara residential area around 7 pm on Sunday (February 15).

Then Tarique Rahman congratulated Dr. Shafiqur Rahman with flowers. Jamaat leader Dr. Abdullah Muhammad Taher, Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair, BNP leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Nazrul Islam Khan and others were present at the time.

Earlier on Saturday, BNP party sources said that on Sunday (February 15) at 7 pm, Dr. Tarique Rahman will go to Shafiqur Rahman’s house and Nahid Islam’s house at 8 pm.

The results of the 297-seat 13th National Parliament election held last Thursday (February 12) showed that BNP won 209 seats on its own and achieved a single majority. With the addition of 3 more seats from the alliance partners, the current number of seats in the BNP alliance is 212.
