Mob justice will be controlled. At the same time, efforts will be made to improve the law and order situation, which was as bad as it was, said Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
He made these remarks while talking to reporters on the first working day after forming the government at the Secretariat today, Wednesday (January 18).
The Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives said, ‘We have come with a challenge. The challenge is to build the country. The first thing our Prime Minister, who is now leading, said was – I have a plan for Bangladesh. He has formed a cabinet to implement that plan.
The cabinet will implement its plan, try to solve the problems of the people of Bangladesh, and take the country forward.
In response to a question from reporters, he said, “No, it’s not that bad. The situation is not as bad as you are making it out to be. Our law and order situation has improved a lot. The macroeconomic stability of the economy has also returned to a great extent.”
“The banking sector has also come under control to a large extent. These were destroyed. We think that with everyone’s concerted efforts, it is possible to make them better.”
Responding to a question about whether a white paper on the activities of the interim government will be published, Mirza Fakhrul said, “There is no need. Because they have taken charge at a special moment.”
At that time – I think, my party also thinks – they were able to do the majority of the work that was needed. The main problem was the transition to democracy. They completed that. So they have to give them that credit. They did a very good job.
