A low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas in the next 24 hours. It may further intensify later. As a result, rainfall is likely to increase in the next five days, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said.

Apart from this, the weather is likely to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Day and night temperatures may drop by (1-2) degrees Celsius across the country.

Rain/thunderstorm is likely to occur at some places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places in Rangpur division in the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Friday (October 24). Day and night temperatures across the country may drop by (1-2) degrees Celsius.
