
A gas explosion occurred in a house in Halishahar, Chittagong, injuring seven people, including a child.
The explosion occurred at around 5:30 am on Monday (February 23) in a building called Halima Manzil in H Block of Halishahar.
The fire service control room operator told Dhaka Post that seven people were burned in the gas explosion. They have been admitted to Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital.
It is learned that gas stored in a house on the third floor of the six-story building named Halima Manzil exploded. This caused a fire to spread throughout the house. Seven people, including a child, were burned. Before the fire service reached the spot, locals rescued the burned victims and took them to Chittagong Medical College. Later, two units of the fire service went to extinguish the fire.
