Four more die of dengue, over 60,000 infected

The number of dengue fever cases in the country has crossed 60,000. In the last 24 hours (from 8 am on Sunday to 8 am on Monday), 942 new dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals. With this, the number of dengue cases in the country so far this year has reached 60,791. At the same time, four more people have died of dengue. So far, 249 people have died of dengue.

This information was given in the daily report published by the Directorate General of Health Services on Monday (October 20) afternoon.

Of the four deaths, two are from Rajshahi division, one from Mymensingh division and one from Dhaka South City. 891 people have been discharged from hospitals during this period.

According to the Department of Health, 65.3 percent of the new cases are male. The highest number of patients admitted in the last 24 hours are between the ages of 21 and 25.
