Asian Motorspecs Limited, the sole distributor of Chery vehicles in Bangladesh, recently unveiled the Chery Tiggo 9Pro PHEV. With this, the car has officially started its journey in the country’s premium plug-in hybrid SUV market.

This flagship model of Chery combines elegance, powerful performance and eco-friendly technology. The car’s inauguration ceremony was held at Chery’s official showroom in Tejgaon Industrial Area.

Asian Motorspecs Limited’s Managing Director Dewan Sajedur Rahman, Director Dewan Saidur Rahman and Chery Bangladesh Head of Sales Abu Mahmud Naser along with other senior officials were present at the event.

In his keynote address at the event, Dewan Sajedur Rahman said, “By bringing advanced hybrid technology to Bangladesh, we have brought new solutions for environmentally conscious customers. The Tigo 9Pro PHEV is a car that can reduce carbon emissions while maintaining luxury and performance. We believe this car will set a new benchmark in the premium SUV market in Bangladesh.”

The Tigo 9Pro PHEV has 375 kW (502 bhp) of power and 750 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. The car has a total system range of 1,380 km.

It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, plug-in hybrid AWD technology and an 8-speed Aisin Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (3DHT).

The cabin of the car has a 15.6-inch 2.5K HD screen, Sony 14-speaker high-fidelity surround sound system and 7 seats in Nappa leather.

For added comfort, it includes heated and cooled seats with massage function, dual-zone climate control, sliding panoramic roof and heated steering wheel.

The car is also advanced in terms of safety. It has an ANCAP-approved strong chassis and 85 percent high-strength steel, multiple airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, 540-degree panoramic camera and transparent off-road view technology.

The exterior design of the car has an upgraded Tiggo family design, which is made in the ‘golden ratio’ ratio. Its length is 4,810 mm, width is 1,925 mm and height is 1,741 mm. 20-inch polished alloy wheels and a tiger-eye pattern grille give the car a different dimension.

Each car comes with a free 22 kW home fast charger, so that it can be easily charged at home.
