
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has decided to increase the price of gold in the country’s market by one point. This time, the organization has increased the price of a 22-carat gold bhori by Tk 7,640, setting the price at Tk 2,62,090.
Bajus announced this in a statement on Saturday (February 7) morning. The new price will be effective from 10 am today.
The notification said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation.
Earlier, the organization had reduced the price of a 22-carat gold bhori by Tk 7,640 on the last day (February 6) to Tk 2,54,450.
On the afternoon of February 3, Bajus adjusted the price of gold in the country’s market. At that time, the organization had increased the price of a 22-carat gold bhori by Tk 10,906 and set the price of a 22-carat gold bhori at Tk 2,62,090.
In addition, the price of gold was fixed at Tk 250,193 per 21-carat piece, Tk 214,443 per 18-carat piece, and Tk 175,485 per 18-carat piece, which came into effect at 4 pm that day.
This year, the price of gold has been adjusted 25 times in the domestic market. Where the price has been increased 16 times; reduced 9 times. And in 2025, the price of gold was adjusted a total of 93 times in the domestic market; where the price was increased 65 times, and reduced 29 times.
