Three new political parties, including the National Citizens Party (NCP), have been registered, said Secretary Akhtar Ahmed at the Election Commission (EC) building in Agargaon on Tuesday.
At a press conference held at the Election Commission building, the EC secretary said that three new political parties have been registered. These include the National Citizens Party (NCP), Aam Janagan and Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal.
The EC secretary said that a notice will be issued in the newspaper on Wednesday (November 5) objecting to the demands made by the parties. He said that objections to the demands can be submitted until November 12 and that the gazette will be issued after the specified time.
The EC secretary said that 8 political parties in the registration queue did not qualify in the end. In addition, a decision will be taken after the High Court order regarding the political party Nezami Islam Party. After further investigation into the other 3 parties, the commission has decided that they will not get registration.
