As Cyclone Montha has departed, a low pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal again. Due to this, two ports of the country have been asked to display warning signal number 3. The low pressure area may develop into a clear low pressure area, according to the Meteorological Department. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in many places of Chittagong division.
The weather bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department on Tuesday morning said that the low pressure area is located near the east-central Bay of Bengal and the coast of Myanmar. This low pressure area may move towards the coast of Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Meteorologist of the Meteorological Department Md. Hafizur Rahman told today, this low pressure may intensify. Later it may turn into a clear low pressure. And under its influence, it may rain in many places especially in Chittagong division today. Apart from this, it may rain in some places in Barisal and Sylhet divisions as well.
The path of the low-pressure system indicates that it is approaching the Chittagong coast. For this reason, the Meteorological Department has already asked the seaports of Chittagong and Cox's Bazar to display local warning signal number 3.
When asked about the possibility of rain in the capital due to the influence of this low pressure, Hafizur Rahman said that there may be light rain in the capital tomorrow, Wednesday or the day after.
