Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has passed away. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
Iran's state news agency IRNA reported that he was martyred in the US-Israeli attack at his workplace early this morning (Sunday). The news of the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader's daughter, son-in-law and grandson has also been confirmed. It was also said that one of Ayatollah Khamenei's daughters-in-law was martyred in the attack on Saturday morning.
Zionist and Western media outlets have repeatedly claimed that Iran's supreme leader lives in a safe and secret location, but his martyrdom at work once again proved the futility of these claims.
The Iranian cabinet statement following Imam Khamenei's martyrdom said, "It is with sadness and regret that we announce that, following the brutal attacks by the criminal government of the United States and the notorious Zionist Israel, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, has been martyred. He took charge of the true leadership and flag of the Islamic Front and the Muslim Ummah for more than 37 years. With his exemplary courage and firm faith, he marked a new chapter in the history of Islam and against infidelity until the last moment of his blessed and historic life."
Mourners from all walks of life have been gathering in Tehran's Inqilab Square since the news of the martyrdom of Iran's supreme leader was confirmed. The entire nation is in mourning.
Iran's cabinet has declared 40 days of national mourning and 7 days of public holidays following the martyrdom of Imam Ayatollah Khamenei.
