The government has instructed government officials not to travel abroad unless it is "absolutely necessary" until the 13th national elections are held, according to a circular issued by the Office of the Chief Adviser.
Various instructions, including restrictions on foreign travel, have been issued in the previous circular of the Office of the Chief Advisor on foreign travel and a memorandum of the Finance Department dated July 8. It is being observed that incidents of foreign travel are occurring without properly following the instructions of the issued circulars.
The advisors and secretaries in charge of the ministries are going on foreign trips at the same time. Many officials of the same ministry are going abroad together. Such proposals are often being sent to the office of the chief advisor, which is contrary to previous instructions.
It further states that, in this situation, it is requested to adhere to all previously issued foreign travel guidelines and to avoid traveling abroad unless absolutely necessary from now until the next national elections are held.
