The Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa Teachers' Union has demanded the resignation of the education advisor, accusing him of 'disrespectful behavior'.
The leaders of the organization expressed their anger over not meeting the education advisor when they submitted a memorandum to the secretariat today (Wednesday). They have announced a protest march in front of the National Press Club at 11 am on Thursday as a new program in this regard.
Kazi Mokhlesur Rahman, chairman of the Independent Ebtedayi Madrasa Teachers' Alliance, alleged that the education advisor behaved disrespectfully towards their delegation.
He said, "Our program today was to submit a memorandum to the Education Advisor and discuss our demands. But after starting the march, we faced obstacles from law enforcement. Even then, with the help of the police, a 15-member delegation went to the Education Ministry and submitted a memorandum."
Kazi Mokhlesur Rahman said, "We thought the education advisor would at least behave courteously. But he behaved humiliatingly without meeting us. This is an insult not only to teachers, but to the entire teaching community."
He announced a protest march in front of the National Press Club at 11 am on Thursday to protest the incident.
The chairman said, "Such behavior towards teachers is unacceptable. The education advisor has disrespected the teaching community. Therefore, we are demanding his resignation."
Teachers have demanded that the nationalization announcement of January 28 this year be implemented quickly. In addition, the files of 1,089 institutions sent to the Office of the Chief Advisor by the Technical and Madrasa Education Department for MPO inclusion should be approved quickly.
Other demands include publication of a notice for MPO applications for unfunded recognized Ebtedayi madrasas, creation of pre-primary posts similar to primary schools, and establishment of a separate directorate for Ebtedayi madrasas.
