Earthquake felt in Cox's Bazar and Chittagong. Local residents in Cox's Bazar town, Ukhia, and Chakaria were reported to have felt the earthquake at 12:57 am on Monday (December 1).
No damage has been reported so far, but local residents said the tremors lasted for a few seconds.
The European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), an international organization that provides earthquake information, said in its latest information on its website that the 4.9 magnitude earthquake had its epicenter in Myanmar.
