The draft Master Plan for Saint Martin’s Island, prepared to regulate unplanned tourism, protect the island’s fragile environment, and ensure sustainable management, has been published on the Notice Board of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change website (www.moefcc.gov.bd) for public access.
All relevant ministries, departments, agencies, stakeholders, and members of the public are requested to submit their written feedback on the draft Master Plan by 20 December 2025 to the email address env2@moefcc.gov.bd.
Additionally, feedback is also requested on the draft of “Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Directive for Plastic Waste Management, 2025.” All ministries, departments, agencies, stakeholders, and members of the public are invited to send their comments by 20 December 2025 to env3@moefcc.gov.bd.
The Ministry hopes that with the participation and constructive input of all concerned, a practical and effective plan can be finalized to protect the environmentally sensitive and nationally important coastal resource, Saint Martin’s Island, and to strengthen the country’s response to plastic waste management challenges.
