Chief guest Prof. Dr. Abul Hasan Muhammad Sadeq remarked, “Nowadays we see competitions in singing and dancing, but none for prayers. City Club has filled that void through this initiative.” Quoting the Qur’anic verse ‘Qu anfusakum wa ahlikum nara’, he highlighted the importance of guiding one’s family towards the path of Allah.
Special guest and Dhaka-18 candidate Principal Ashraful Haque said, “Understanding the meaning of prayer is essential. If children build their lives with this discipline, far greater rewards await them in the hereafter than a bicycle in this world.” He also stressed the need for dedicated prayer spaces for women in mosques.
Parents and organizers expressed hope that such initiatives will strengthen religious discipline, moral development of youth, and encourage mosque-centered community engagement in Uttara.
