
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale has struck the capital Dhaka. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The tremor was felt at 6:14:45 am on Thursday (December 4).
According to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, the depth of the earthquake was 30 kilometers below the surface. The epicenter was 33 km east of Tongi, 3 km north of Narsingdi. Its magnitude was 4.1.
Earlier, an earthquake was felt in Cox’s Bazar and Chittagong on Monday (December 1). Local residents felt the earthquake in Cox’s Bazar city, Ukhia, and Chakaria at 12:57 am on Monday.
